
Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American model and actress. She was born between May 7th, 2021 and August 5, 1961. Her career began as a TV actress, appearing in the television films Malibu (1983) and California Girls (1985). She also appeared in the comedy The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak and Bachelor Party (both 1984) as well as the film of horror Witchboard (1986). Kitaen was widely recognized for her roles in several heavy metal music videos including Ratt's (1984) "Back for More" Whitesnake's ("Still of the Night") and Whitesnake ?Ts ("Is This Love") (all 1987). In the late 2000s, Kitaen was first seen on reality television series, such as Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) which highlighted Kitaen's struggle with addiction. She was born Julie Kitaen in San Diego, California in 1961, the oldest of three children born to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) an housewife and one-time beauty pageant participant, and Terry Kitaen, an employee of a neon sign business. Kitaen was the daughter of a Russian-Jewish dad and an Scottish mother. Kitaen was raised Jewish. [4][5] Kitaen began using the title "Tawny" at the age of 12 years old, on her own initiative.
